A hand carved icon stand has been donated to our church through a generous contribution by SPIROL International in memory of Guenter Wexler.
The analogion is made of solid oak and was carved by Fr Menas at Holy Asccension Skete in York, Maine. It is located next to the bishop’s throne and can be moved to the center of the church, as well. We will do this during the Salutations Services during the five Fridays of Great Lent.
The style of the carving is Byzantine and matches our icon screen in details and in color. We are grateful to SPIROL International for offering this lasting memorial to a fine man.
